The Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg was the first hotel on the square. It is centrally located opposite the main train station, right at the Königstor (King's Gate), the entrance to the historic Old Town. From here guests can easily reach many sights on foot, such as the Christmas market, which occurs every year during Advent and is probably the most popular Christmas market in the world.

Guests of Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg enjoy free entry through our Unlock ArtSM programme; their room key card counts here as an entry ticket. Upon entering our lobby, you will notice that art is our main focus.

The extensive and relaxing spa facility is ideal for stress relief. It comprises a sauna, solarium, gym and relaxation room. The Brasserie restaurant spoils its guests with international and regional specialties. Furthermore, the Atelier bar serves the best drinks. Make sure and have a look at the historic banquet hall, which is decorated with images from Richard Wagner's operas.

One should plan to stay in Nuremberg for more than just one night if possible. There is much to see and explore. After all, the city has a history of almost one thousand years. Along with Cologne and Prague, Nuremberg was at one time one of the three largest cities of the Holy Roman Empire.
